Lumineers and James Bay at Pine Knob
On August 25th The Limineers brought their Brightside world tour to the wonderful city of Clarkston Michigan.
Alongside The Lumineers was long time friend of the band, James Bay. I thought James Bay did a great job. He had a lot of energy and some great songs. He had an incredible energy and awesome smile his whole set! It was my first time seeing James Bay and if he was just a solo act I would have had a great time! Sadly his band was the opposite of him. I didn’t see any of them smile or look even remotely excited to be playing in front of thousands of people. It was pretty disappointing and distracting from the overall show. I hope next time I see James Bay it’s a solo act.
The lumineers brought the sold out crowd of Pine Knob Music Theater to their feet starting off their set with a banger! Cleopatra is arguably the most popular song of their catalog. I might be a little biased on that because it’s my favorite song. It’s my review anyway so I can declare it’s the best song they have ever released. With only being there for three songs it’s was overwhelming how much the crowd loved this band. As I was walking to to leave the venue they were playing Ho Hey and everyone was singing and laughing and having a great time.
