All American Rejects and New Found Glory at Michigan Lottery Amphitheater
All American Rejects have come back to Michigan after a long awaited return! On August 22 All American Rejects brought along pop punk legends New Found Glory. Even with one of the members going through chemo treatment the next day they still put on a kick ass show! During their set Chad Gilbert gave an emotional speech about his cancer treatments and how everyone should not be afraid to go out and try new things and not be afraid to go out and do things alone! It hit close to home and after that speech there was not a dry eye in the whole venue! During their set NFG they played through the hits from all of their past albums. Some of my favorites were “Kiss me” and “Forget My Name”. For me personally anything off of Sticks And Stones is a banger and I would listen to any day of the week.
Last time I saw All American Rejects was at Art Beats And Eats in Royal Oak Michigan and honestly I was not impressed at all so I didn’t know what to expect during this set. To my surprise they killed it the energy was amazing and they had great fan interaction. Just like with New Found Glory they had the whole crowd singing songs like “Gives You Hell” and “Move Along”. I’m really happy I finally got to see the show I know they wanted to put on. The whole show brought me right back to my middle school days listening to it on my I pod mini.
