50 Cent, Busta Rhymes and Jeremih at Pine Knob
50 Cent stopped by Carleton Michigan on his “Final Lap Tour” on September 17th. 50 cent is arguably one of the best rappers of this generation. Throughout all of his life struggles most notably getting shot 7 times, he made it to this moment. To do one last final tour celebrating his career accomplishments. I have a feeling that the Detroit stop will be one he and all 18,000 people won’t forget!
You know you are in for an amazing night when one of the opening acts is Busta Rhymes. He started off his set in a thrown rapping to a cover of M.O.P.’s Ante Up. This was the first time I got to experience a Busta Rhymes show and he is one of the most impressive MC’s on the planet. I have no idea how some one can rap that fast and find time to breathe let alone walk around the stage.
50 cent is a man of many mysteries and he started his show off with one. After a cloud of smoke appeared in the center of the stage 50 was right there rapping The Invitation followed by some certified bangers like “What Up Gangsta” and “P.I.M.P.”. But shockingly that was not the best part of the show. Half way through his set he brought out the elusive Detroit Rap God himself. Preforming “Patiently Waiting” and “Crack A Bottle”. It always special getting an appearance by Eminem. I think this show was a great way to thank 50 for all that he has done for music over the years. So from the Detroit area to 50 Cent I just want to say thank you!
