Lil Baby And Lil Durk Live At DTE In Detroit

Coming off of one of the hottest albums of 2021  Lil Baby and Lil Durk are back out in the street on the Back ‘Outside Tour’.  After dropping ‘The Voice Of The Heroes’ Lil Baby and Lil Durk have become two of the hottest hip hop artist both of them getting features on Drakes and Kayne West new album! Opening the show this whole was the new artist Coi Leray who skipped out on the BET Awards after being nominated for Best New Artist. Coi Leray definitely made up for her bad performance at rolling loud. She showed that she can really get a show started. Lil Durk has had one of the hardest personal years of any artist today after losing his best friend King Von and his brother DThang the day his joint album ‘The Voice Of The Heros’ dropped. It was refreshing to see him holding his head up high and having the strength to keep on fighting.  One of my favorite parts of Durk set was when he played ‘Hellcats & Trackhawks’. At the end of his set he paid tribute to his lost friend King Von by playing ‘Crazy Story’ and bringing out Coi Leray to do their song ‘No More Parties’. As Durk played his set the crowd got wilder and wilder with each song flooding the stands and all the aisles. That was just a glimpse of what was to come for Lil Baby. This whole show was the definition of when someone says ‘ That show was a blockbuster’. Everyone was standing on their seats and in aisles or climbing poles just to see the superstar a little better. When the lights went down and the music started Lil Baby came out on top of a two story structure and started his 22 song setlist with  ‘Wants And Needs’ a Drake cover. As the set went on the crowd found out that he wasn’t the only star coming out tonight. Detroits very own 42 Dugg came out to preform three of his songs ‘Not A Rapper’ ‘Dog Food’ and ‘We Paid’. There was no way they would be able to end the show like that though, Baby brought out Durk to play some tracks off of their new album ‘The Voice Of the Heroes’. If this show is coming to a city near you you need to go! This might be one of the best shows I have been to in the decade I have been doing this! Hats off to Lil Durk and Lil Baby’s whole team and congratulations on putting on one of the best shows in recent memory.
