Taylor Swift's Eras Tour Night One In Detroit
Taylor Swift’s Eras tour has come down on Detroit this weekend bringing over 100 thousand fans to Ford Field over the two days. Just to put to scale how big of a show this is Taylor Swift brought 19 years of music to one show. She was paying homage to every album she has made starting with Lover era. Playing 6 songs off of the album the highlight for me had to have been the Tik Tok hit Cruel Summer.
I have never seen this many people show up in downtown Detroit in all of my years of going to shows. I went to the first night of Taylor Swifts Eras tour. One night alone over 60,000 people showed up to see the artist preform songs from nearly 2 decades of her work. Surprisingly not all the fans were even inside the venue as I was leaving the show I passed dozens of fans sitting outside the main doors just hoping they could hear just a little bit of the show and singing along to the songs they could hear. I don’t think I will ever see an artist with this dedication from selling out the show so fast that it broke ticket master to every single girl dressed in sparkly clothes and coy boy hats. All the fans that put in all the hard work and hard earned money to see the show did not leave disappointed. Taylor played a 3 hour set and hits off of 10 albums. The amount of thought and hard work she put into her performance really showed throughout the concert, from the massive set design to changing outfits faster than the normal human it was all really amazing!! One part that I really did love was during the Red ear. She was playing her song 22 and as she was at the end of the catwalk there was a fan sitting at the end of the stage and Taylor walked right up to this little girl and placed her hat on her head! That’s something that little girl will remember for the rest of her life and I love moments like that! It just reminds me how much she cares about her young fans.
Out of the whole show my personal favorite parts were hearing Love Story and the whole Reputation era (that’s my favorite album of hers)! It’s not only her music that holds a special place in my heart it was also going to see her on the reputation tour. My sister and I went to that show and singing along to every word with my family was so memorable. It’s moments like that that will keep us close forever. I’m happy concerts are back. I’m happy I got to experience her show again. Taylor Swift is truly one of the most amazing artists of our generation! If you are lucky enough to get to see her on this tour have fun, take photos and remember it forever!
