Chaos And Carnage at The Crofoot
The kings of American death metal have taken to the road for the Chaos And Carnage tour alongside other metal legends suicide silence. Before I went to the show I decided to take a look at the flyer and to my surprise I could read almost all of the band logos …. All but one Sanguisugabogg has one of the most wild logos I have seen from a band in a long time. And coincidentally they were the first band I saw when I got to the venue. They put on a fine show! For someone who is not from this scene I have a hard time telling who is good and who is bad, a lot of the music at the show sounded very similar to one another. But the part of Sanguisugabogg that really stood out to me was the ridiculous song names like “Dead As Shit” , “Face Ripped Off” or “Dragged By A Truck” Suicide silence was up next! I remember seeing this band from way back in the warped tour days. Watching them play this past week you can just tell how passionate this band is about the scene and how much they care about the fans and helping one another! It’s truly amazing seeing a band of this size actually give a shit about their show and the people who support them. Dying fetus is one of the bands name I always knew but never listened to until I got to the show. Let me tell you that this is the heaviest most intense band I have ever seen. The vocals they produce are so low and angry. I played some of their song the next day when I was at work and a lady I work with said that it’s devil music. Hopefully that gives you an idea of how they sound! Dying fetus ended up closing out the show after a full day and countless bands. The sold out Detroit show made it shown that the metal scene in Detroit is alive and well
