Breaking Benjamin Live At The Fillmore
Photos and review: Jason Keomany
Breaking Benjamin is back on tour, promoting their new album Dark Before Dawn. This coming off a lengthy hiatus in which many of the band members have changed. This album and tour has been a long time in the making and fans were out in full force. Dark Before Dawn is Breaking Benjamin’s 5th studio album and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The concert at The Fillmore also featured sets by Starset and 10 Years… two bands that I believe are capable of headlining their own tour. Starset put on a visually stunning display for their concert, including videos that helped tell the story. 10 Years kept the energy up until Breaking Benjamin came out to a raucous crowd. Benjamin Burley and crew did not disappoint. They played a good mix of the classics and the new material from Dark Before Dawn. Throughout the night, they kept the crowd engaged and full of energy… especially at one point when he requested the theatre shut off all the lights while everyone turned the flashlights on their phone while he sang. Having seen other shows by Breaking Benjamin, this one was definitely up there as one of the best.
