Alan Parsons began his career at the age of 19 as an assistant engineer at the legendary Abbey Road studios in London working with the Beatles on their albums Let It Be and Abbey Road. Those who recently saw Peter Jackson's Get Back series got to view vintage footage of Parsons working alongside the Fab Four. Parsons would soon go on to bring his innovative style of engineering to albums by Paul McCartney, the Hollies, and Pink Floyd on their 1973 masterpiece The Dark Side of the Moon.

Parsons would quickly move into the role of producer, winning countless gold and platinum awards with such names as Pilot, Cockney Rebel, Ambrosia and Al Stewart. Simultaneously he formed the world-renowned Alan Parsons Project with songwriting partner/vocalist Eric Woolfson, producing a myriad of hits including “Eye in the Sky,” “Don't Answer Me,” “Time” and “Games People Play.” The Parsons/Woolfson duo never toured, but rather concentrated all their efforts in the studio.  After ten studio albums with The Project, Parsons began recording albums under his own name and started to play live for the first time to the delight of his millions of fans around the world.

In 2019, as well as winning a Grammy for the 35th Anniversary edition of Eye In the Sky,Parsons released his fifth solo album, The Secret. It was an album revolving around the theme of magic, which is a passion of Parsons. The Secret was his first studio recording in 15 years, and it culminated in a series of worldwide tours.

Two concerts were filmed in 2019 and released in 2021/2022. Produced by IM3 Global Entertainment, The NeverEnding Show: Live in the Netherlands and One Note Symphony: Live in Tel Aviv were both released within the last several months by Frontiers Records to international acclaim, the latter concert featuring the Alan Parsons Live Project accompanied by an 80-piece symphony orchestra. Still available at AlanParsons.com and HERE: https://orcd.co/parsonstelaviv (Tel Aviv) and HERE: https://orcd.co/parsonslive (Netherlands).

Parsons was recently honored with the prestigious OBE (Order Of The British Empire) award from the Queen of England for his contributions to the arts. His new album, From the New World features a star-studded line-up of special guests including Tommy Shaw of STYX, David Pack formerly of Ambrosia, American Idol's James Durbin and guitar legend Joe Bonamassa.

JOY OLADOKUN’S NEW SINGLE “PURPLE HAZE” OUT TODAY

Breakthrough artist Joy Oladokun’s new single, “Purple Haze,” is out today on Amigo Records/Verve Forecast/Republic Records (stream/purchase HERE). The song, about love and the end of the world, made its debut last week on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” (watch HERE).

Of the song, Oladokun shares, “I wrote ‘Purple Haze’ while I was in LA after some wildfires, and I noticed the sky was not the color that it should be. It made me think about the world we live in and all the information we get on a daily basis. It almost feels like we might be on our way out as a species but there are wonderful things like family, friends, partners, dogs - things that inspire us towards beauty and excitement. Even if this all ends, it was worth the experience.

Joy is currently in the midst of her first nationwide headline tour. Upcoming stops include Pittsburgh’s Thunderbird Music Hall, Washington DC’s Union Stage, Atlanta’s Terminal West and Nashville’s The Basement East (two nights) among many others. She will also join Maren Morris and My Morning Jacket for several shows this year and will make her Bonnaroo debut in June. See below for complete tour itinerary.

Continuing to receive overwhelming acclaim, Joy was recently featured in Vanity Fair, who praises, “Her name is both prescient and redundant. She oozes energy that shifts a room’s center of gravity and makes you happy for it. It is charisma and she has it in spades. It’s the way she approaches her craft too.”

On “Salam,” $kinny says, “‘Salam’ is a magical record. It started off with an Instagram post from Swizz listening to my song. He sent me a direct message, and we ended up in a studio that same night. It was one of the greatest moments in my career so far. We played that song at least 100+ times that night!”

Swizz Beatz comments, “Being the executive producer of Have a Nice Trip was easy because $kinny is super talented. He’s not just an artist, he writes and produces, which made the process even better!! My favorite part of making ‘Salam’ was the energy the record has. I know it will give off!!” French Montana adds, “That hook represents everything I stand for.”

Today, Variety ran an exclusive piece on the new single and album—read it HERE.

$kinny presents Saudi culture from a fresh perspective, infusing the traditions, inspirations, and sounds of his heritage into an otherworldly brand of hip-hop irreverent of borders and boundaries, yet firmly rooted in the future. I hope my music helps my fans go through the bad and good times. I want my songs to be there for them when they’re happy or sad… also that they should be confident in who they are and always be themselves, dreams come true so be careful what you wish for.”

Bikini Kill 2022 International Tour Kicks Off April 26

"Hanna is one of the great frontpeople of all time, but she is best with this band behind her. The pounding of Vail’s toms doubled by Kathi Wilcox’s bass pushes Hanna’s voice into a roar that is primal and undeniable; she makes you listen." - The New York Times

“Bikini Kill’s insurrectionism feels more vital than ever. Their cool protest songs predicted and shaped our current cultural moment, in which recognizing the politics in art is non-negotiable.” Pitchfork

"Bikini Kill played as if their energy had been cryonically preserved in 1997." Rolling Stone

JUICY J & WIZ KHALIFA RETURN WITH NEW SONG “BACKSEAT”

Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa return with their new song “Backseat” (featuring Project Pat and fully produced by Juicy J) from their anticipated collab album due out February 2022. Accompanied by a music video directed by Gabriel Hart (Gucci Mane, Future, Migos, Young Jeezy), the vibe couples Juicy’s trippy lifestyle with Khalifa’s rockstar aesthetic. In the visual the camera pans to longtime collaborator Project Pat in front of vintage cars in a scene reminiscent of a car meet - a play on words to the song title. This new track follows last month’s “Pop That Trunk” which set the tone for the project and received praise from Complex, Vulture, Billboard, Vibe, and more. Stay tuned for more album details soon.
