The Used Preform Lies For The Liars in full at The Fillmore in Detroit

The Used’s stop at The Fillmore in Detroit was a nostalgic punch to the chest in the best way possible. The band was celebrating 25 amazing years with three nights at Detroits most legendary venue, The Fillmore. To celebrate the milestone The Used is one album in full every night starting with the self titled The Used, the second night is In Love And Death, the third night was Lies For The Liars. Celebrating the full performance of their 2007 album Lies for the Liars, the band didn’t just revisit a fan-favorite record—they gave it the theatrical revival it deserved. From the haunting opener “The Ripper” to the chaotic closer “Smother Me,” The Used performed with unrelenting energy, proving they haven’t lost an ounce of the raw emotion that put them on the map.

What truly made this night unforgettable, though, was the crowd itself. One fan showed up dressed as the main character from the Lies for the Liars album art—complete with box head and all. After the first few songs the band even shouted out the kid having the whole audience cheer for them.

Musically, the band was tight and intentional, nailing deep cuts like “Wake the Dead” and “Earthquake” while turning big singles like “Pretty Handsome Awkward” into crowd-wide scream-alongs. The lighting design was eerie and dramatic, with flickering reds and intense strobes that matched the manic energy of the record. By the time they reached the end of the set, the Fillmore was a sweaty, euphoric mess. For fans of Lies for the Liars, this tour stop felt like a love letter and absolutely unforgettable.
