Mod Sun put on the best show of the year so far at St Andrews Hall in Detroit

Mod Sun.. I have known of Modsun for the last 5 or so years after I saw him open for MGK at The Fillmore. Honestly after that first show I was not really feeling him I didn’t think he had great energy and I was not the biggest fan of his music at the time. I don’t know if it was a bad show or what. Within the last album cycle though I am pleasantly surprised with how far his music has come. His songs have become way more catchy and he seems to be drawing more and more of a crowd every time he comes to town. These shows are different than the rest he has done before. Days after he left for tour his soon to be wife Avril Lavigne broke off their engagement. With her being a large writing source for this album and some songs even featuring her you could tell that these shows are not easy for him. The pain has caused Mod Sun to put on one of the best shows I have seen all year
