Cartel Chroma 10 Year Anniversary Tour
Cartel visited St Andrews Hall in Detroit to celebrate 10 years of their first full length album Chroma. The hit single "Honestly" launched the album to the charts including the #1 debut on Soundscan's Alternative New Artist Charts. Since the release in 2005 the album has sold over 250,000 copies. Cartel was originally going to play at The shelter, a much smaller venue, but due to such high demand for the show they were forced to move the show upstairs to the ballroom.
Packing in hundreds of fans into Detroit's concert hall, Cartel and Hit The Lights brought every fan back to the glory days of 2000's pop punk. Hit The Lights started off their set with a song "Fucked Up Kids" off their new LP "Summer Bones" the was released on March 24th. Singer Nick Thompson kept the energy going through out the whole set running all over the stage. Hit The Lights ended the their set with a crowd favorite "Body Bag".
Cartel closed the show playing their hit album "Chroma" in it's entirety. The crowd went crazy when the lights went down and they heard the start of "Say Anything (Else). The show only got better from there as they played "Honestly" and "Save Us". As the show was winding down, and the band left the stage the crowd was not ready to go home until they heard more songs. After a few minutes of the crowd yelling "ONE MORE SONG!!" Cartel came out to play The Fortunate, This Is Who We Are and The Perfect Mistake. It was a perfect way to end the night.
