Papa Roach and Seether At The Fillmore Detroit

Hard to believe Papa Roach first broke big with their single "Last Resort" way back in 2000. Fast forward 15 years and the band is still rocking as hard as ever as evidenced by their show on January 23, 2015 at the Fillmore in Detroit, MI.

Opening their set with their latest single "Face Everything And Rise" from their brand new album entitled "F.E.A.R," Papa Roach brought forth an impressive display of energy to the stage and kept  the crowd moving for the entire show. They even gave a nod to hometown hero Eminem by playing some of his song "Lose Yourself" before leading into their classic hit "Broken Home." Their set culminated with a monster performance of their aforementioned hit "Last Resort" that had the entire crowd on their feet and singing along.

Co-headliners and fellow millenial rockers, Seether also delivered solid performance. Their sound which channels the spirit of mid-90's alternative angst rock combined with the steady driving force of modern new rock thoroughly satisfied this die hard rock and roll crowd. Their song "Broken," a big radio hit for the band as it included guest vocals by Evanescence's Amy Lee, was a huge highlight of the show.

In today's musical landscape where disposable pop and EDM currently rules, it's interesting

to see that the spirit of rock is still holding strong with fans of all ages in Detroit.
