Party Icon ANDREW W.K. Reveals Metallic New Track, "Everybody Sins"
unnamed-4.png

Napalm Records and ANDREW W.K. recently announced the impending release of the iconic Party God’s fifth full-length studio rock album, God Is Partying. The long-awaited nine track opus of maximalist grandeur is set for release on September 10, 2021 - nearly 20 years after the release of his chart-topping full-length debut, I Get Wet.

Today, following the respective unveilings of his two bombastic new singles Babalon” and “I’m In Heaven”, the one and only party-rock icon is back with another rager, this time in the form of the triumphant and metallic, "Everybody Sins". The hard charging track soars as a certified future hit with its divine harmonic attack juxtaposed with monster guitar riffs and undeniable vocal melodies.

ANDREW W.K. says:

”When we started working on the video for ‘Everybody Sins’, the director and I were scheming and straining over some of the choreography and camera moves. Now, I do realize some people will say life’s too short to scheme and strain like this. And others will say life’s too short NOT to scheme and strain. Still, other people will say both these approaches are incorrect. And what do I say? Everything I just said in the video for ‘Everybody Sins’.”

LOS ANGELES, CA –– JULY 16, 2021 –– Today, Dirty Heads, the top–charting band redefining the sound of Southern California since 2003, are reflecting on their massive career with the release of The Best of Dirty Heads album, out now via Better Noise Music. The album’s track listing contains some of the band’s biggest hits to date, including their unprecedented viral smash hit“Vacation,” the song behind the ubiquitous #VacationTransition challenge on TikTok that is approaching 2 BILLION views, and over 4 BILLION across all platforms. Earlier this summer, the band dropped a new version with guest vocals from multi–Grammy winner Pat Monahan of Train, to celebrate the song’s global success. With billions of streams to date across platforms, Dirty Heads have been inhaling alternative, hip–hop, reggae and rock and exhaling one irresistible, infectious anthem after another. They have released seven studio albums, and have had seven Top 20 hits including their RIAA gold–certified smash “Lay Me Down,” which reached number one at radio in May 2010 and nine weeks later established a record as the song with the longest stint atop the chart for an independently released title. “Lay Me Down” and “Vacation (Featuring Train)” appear on the album, alongside a new collaboration with legendary drummer Travis Barker and Aimee Interrupter of The Interrupters, giving fans a taste of what’s to come on their next full–length project. The full track listing can be found below. The Best of Dirty Heads is now available to stream and purchase across all platforms HERE.

“Rage,” Dirty Heads’ new track with Travis Barker and Aimee Interrupter of The Interrupters, also produced by Barker, is a little gritty, a little punk, mixed with some reggae and rock & roll. The fusion of genres and lyrics that capture an aggressive collage of emotions, makes for a sure–to–be–smash and fan–favorite. Barker and Aimee’s contributions to the track further the group’s mission to deliver a fresh and dynamic sonic experience to their fans. The band will be dropping an official video for the track soon.

The organic viral moment of “Vacation” and its accompanying #VacationTransition challenge trend has increased streams for the original track across all platforms by 90%, with an increase of over 250% on Amazon alone, and earlier this year an increase of over 800% on Spotify, significantly increasing the band’s profile in international markets. It has earned the song introductions on over 36 viral international playlists, viral and pop playlists with massive global reach, 144% increase of Shazams, entry on the Shazam Global Top 200 Chart and TikTokDaily, Weekly & Trending videos, and all-time top track charts. It has consistently charted on Instagram Reels’ most used sounds globally, entering the top 10 list worldwide this spring. And most notably since January 2021, the song has over 3 BILLION consumption plays across all of Instagram and Facebook’s functions where users can play or add music, and more than 4 BILLION across all social platforms.

This massive increase in consumption for the song has introduced the band to millions of new fans across the globe, which sparked the idea for The Best of Dirty Headsalbum, giving the band the opportunity to take a retrospective look at their impressive career catalogue.

C.S. ARMSTRONG DROMIXTAPEPS DEEP COVERS 187

C.S. ARMSTRONG DROPS DEEP COVERS 187 MIXTAPE EXCLUSIVELY ON AUDIOMACK

Today, critically acclaimed R&B force of nature and 21st century bluesman C.S. Armstrong reveals his brand new Deep Covers 187 mixtape exclusively on Audiomack. Listen to it HERE via Republic Records.

On the project, he brings raw soul to stripped-down renditions of H.E.R.’s “Damage, Lorde’s “Royals,” Solange’s “Cranes in the Sky, and SZA’s “Good Days” as his soul-shaking delivery quakes over passionately picked guitar and intense keys. These four tracks will only be available on Audiomack, while his cover of “Limit To Your Love” by James Blake and Feist can be found on all DSPs.

Check out the full tracklisting below.

Carving out his niche with cover songs, C.S. Armstrong has also recently reimagined Gnarls Barkely’s “Crazy,” Summer Walker’s “Session 32,” and Sade’s “Sweetest Taboo.” Additionally, he teamed up with none other than Black Thought of The Roots for “Welcome To America” from the Judas and the Black Messiah Soundtrack. Attracting critical praise, The New York Times highlighted Armstrong’s “gritty vocal choruses.”

All of this follows the release of “Own Two” featuring Jay Rock which will be included on his forthcoming major label debut album.

Be on the lookout for more from C.S. Armstrong soon.

Born to a single mother in the service with a preacher grandma in his corner,  C.S. Armstrong traveled an unbelievable road one step at a time. At 10-years-old, he preached in church as an ordained minister. At 16-years-old, he earned respect in the streets with his fists. At 18-years-old, he enlisted in the military to serve his country. Eight years later, he rolled into New York and lent his voice to one hip-hop banger after another. His instantly recognizable vocals shined on Statik Selektah’s “In The Wind” [feat. Joey Bada$$ & Big K.R.I.T] and Bun BProdigy, and Remy Bank’s “Where’s Your Leader.” His voice also coursed through Action Bronson’s tastemaker-approved Billboard Top 200 chart-topping Mr. Wonderful, in addition to joining the star on the road. Settling in Southern California, he powered Book’s “Last Man Standing” for the official Call of Duty: WWII trailer and dropped a pair of critically acclaimed independent projects, namely Truth Be Told [2019] and The Blue Tape [2020]. His voice echoed on Black Thought’s “We Could Be Good (United)” [feat. C.S. Armstrong & OSHUN] from the critical favorite Streams of Thought, Vol. 3: Cain & Able. Along the way, Dr. Dre became his “uncle,” Republic Records signed him, and he distilled gospel, blues, hip-hop, and rock into a sound as intoxicating and biting as aged whisky. Streamed millions of times and championed by BillboardA COLORS SHOW, and more, OnesToWatch claimed, “The music is something to grow old with.” Now, he tells the story with no filter on a series of singles for Republic Records.

YSN FLOW RELEASES NEW TRACK & VIDEO “CHROME HEARTS” TODAY
ysn.jpg

Once again, he shines over the song’s skittering beat. He delivers one quotable bar after another before locking into the hypnotic hook. In the accompanying visual, he flashes cash as he hangs out the window of a white SUV and turns up in the sneaker shop. As usual, he asserts overwhelming star power on screen. The song will appear on his upcoming new project that will come out this fall, which will showcase YSN Flow’s elevated soundscape.

“‘Chrome Hearts’ is a song explaining my lifestyle change and the mentality I've lived by ever since I've had my first hit song. In the song you'll hear me talk about a lot of my goals, and many of the reasons as to why I dedicate my all to my music career,” says YSN Flow on the track.

Just prior, YSN Flow racked up another 1.1 million streams with “Pac Man” and also attracted acclaim from The Musical Hype. Its predecessor “Do It Again” feat. Doe Boy ignited streaming platforms and received the endorsement of FLAUNT and more.

Next up, he’s set to take the stage at Rolling Loud NY on October 29.

Thus far, YSN Flow has pulled in 130 million streams worldwide since he emerged in 2018. At the same time, he has garnered unanimous critical acclaim from The Source, Revolt, Bleu Mag, Elevator Mag, AllHipHop, HipHopDX, and more. Plus, his 2020 mixtape Long Story Short landed on the “5 New Albums You Need to Hear This Week on Audiomack” from Audiomack/DJ Booth. Along the way, he has also collaborated with heavy-hitters such as Justin Rarri, Lil Tjay and Quando Rondo.

Stay tuned for more from YSN Flow soon.

VOLBEAT SHARE NEW MUSIC VIDEO FOR “WAIT A MINUTE MY GIRL”
vbb.jpg

Today, Volbeat, the multi-platinum Danish band, share their new music video for “Wait A Minute My Girl.” The music video was directed by Sean Donnelly, founder of AWESOME+modest, with collages by Mengqing Yuan, and animation by Steve Yeung. AWESOME+modest is an animation studio based in Los Angeles, California that specializes in mixed media techniques. They most recently created all of the animation in the HBO documentary miniseries "The Lady and the Dale", Marvel's "Behind the Mask" and Showtime's "The One and Only Dick Gregory." The band said of the video: “After seeing the work they did on The Lady and the Dale we knew that Sean and the team at Awesome+modest could do something trippy and creative for “Wait A Minute My Girl.” This video exceeded even our wildest expectations. It’s weird, fun and crazy – we absolutely love it.” Watch the music video for “Wait A Minute My Girl” here.

Along with “Wait A Minute My Girl” Volbeat also recently shared their song “Dagen Før.” The two tracks, the band’s first new music since 2019’s album Rewind, Replay, Rebound, were written and recorded while the world was in lockdown during the pandemic. Michael, Kaspar and Jon recorded their parts with long-time producer Jacob Hansen in Denmark, while Rob worked remotely from New York.

“Wait A Minute My Girl” features saxophone player Doug Corcoran and piano player Raynier Jacob Jacildo, who both perform with JD McPherson’s band and previously appeared with Volbeat on 2019’s “Die To Live (feat. Neil Fallon).” Singer Mia Maja, who has worked with the band since Seal The Deal & Let’s Boogie, also appears on backing vocals. “Dagen Før” features guest vocals from Danish artist Stine Bramsen, who is known for her solo work as well as being a member of the band Alphabeat. The song, in the tradition of “The Garden’s Tale,” “Maybele I Hofteholder” and “For Evigt,” features both English and Danish lyrics, and marks the first commercially-released song that features Stine singing in her native Danish.

Since forming in 2001, Volbeat has gone from the clubs of Copenhagen to headlining stages around the world, including the famed Telia Parken stadium in Denmark (and becoming the only domestic artist to ever sell out the venue). Over the course of eight record-breaking albums the band has picked up number one songs (including eight #1s on the US Mainstream Rock chart and counting), multi-platinum certifications, awards and accolades (including a Grammy nomination) all over the planet. Their latest album, Rewind, Replay, Rebound, was released on August 2nd, 2019 and has spawned the hit singles “Last Day Under The Sun,” “Die To Live (feat. Neil Fallon)” and “Leviathan.” A live album featuring songs recorded during the subsequent world tour, Rewind, Replay, Rebound: Live in Deutschland, was released digitally on November 27th, 2020. A vinyl-only bonus track compilation, Hokus Bonus, was originally made available on limited-edition vinyl on RSD Black Friday 2020 and will be available in a new, limited European version and a North American standard version this Summer and are available for pre-order at volbeat.dk.
