CAAMP ANNOUNCE CO-HEADLINING DATES WITH TRAMPLED BY TURTLES

Today, the Columbus, OH band Caamp announced new co-headlining tour dates with Minnesota’s Trampled By Turtles. These additional tour dates cap off an extensive, mostly sold-out North American run of dates which kick off in the spring of 2020 including dates with The Lumineers and stops in Madison, Portland, Pittsburgh, Louisville, Charleston and more. See all tour dates below.

Caamp recently scored their first #1 at radio with their single “Peach Fuzz,” made their late night television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and followed that up with a killer performance on CBS This Morning Saturday. After a victorious festival season playing Firefly, Shaky Knees, Forecastle, Outside Lands, Austin City Limits, Great Escape and many more, Caamp kicked off a major US headlining tour on September 24th and sold out show after show. Tour highlights included multi-night stints at Thalia Hall in Chicago, The Basement East in Nashville, Royale in Boston, Brooklyn Steel, 9:30 Club in D.C. and Newport Music Hall in their hometown of Columbus.

Trampled by Turtles are from Duluth, Minnesota, where frontman Dave Simonett initially formed the group as a side project in 2003. At the time, Simonett had lost most of his music gear, thanks to a  group of enterprising car thieves who'd ransacked his vehicle while he played a show with his previous band. Left with nothing more than an acoustic guitar, he began piecing together a new band, this time taking inspiration from bluegrass, folk, and other genres that didn't rely on amplification. Seventeen years and counting, their crossover appeal has taken them Top 30 album on the Billboard 200  to television appearances from Letterman to Conan and festival stages from Coachella to Lollapalooza with hundreds more in between.

JONAS BROTHERS RELEASE NEW SINGLE “WHAT A MAN GOTTA DO”
unnamed-16.jpg

After mounting the biggest comeback of the decade last year, GRAMMY® Award-nominated trio Jonas Brothers release their first new single of 2020, “What A Man Gotta Do,” today. Get it HERE via Republic Records.

“What A Man Gotta Do” charges forward on upbeat acoustic guitar and a percussive groove. This high-energy bounce culminates on the hook where they coyly ask, “What a man gotta do to be totally locked up by you?” Continuing a tradition of event-level visuals, the group also reveals a blockbuster music video co-starring their significant others: Priyanka Chopra JonesSophie Turner, and Danielle Jonas. Directed by Joseph Kahn, the band and the ladies put their own smart, satirical, spirited and sexy twist on classic films such as Risky BusinessGrease, and Say Anything.

Watch it HERE.

The broadcast premiere for the video will air on MTV Live, mtvU and the Times Square Viacom billboard at 6AM EST today.

Jonas Brothers will pull out all the stops next Sunday January 26 when they perform “What A Man Gotta Do” live for the very first time at the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards® in Los Angeles. Plus, they vie for the “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance” statue at the ceremony.

Be sure to tune in to the broadcast on CBS.

The song arrives hot on the heels of the band’s blockbuster comeback album, Happiness Begins. Not only did it bow at #1 on the Billboard Top 200, go platinum, and set the stage for the sold out Happiness Begins Tour across arenas everywhere, but it also yielded the Hot 100 #1 smash “Sucker, which proved definitive for 2019. Most importantly, it set the stage for the biggest, boldest, and brightest era of Jonas Brothers yet.

Be on the lookout for more surprises and big news very soon.

The preeminent male group of this century, Jonas Brothers opened the floodgates for a new era of titans in pop music. Following a six-year hiatus, Jonas Brothers took 2019 by storm with the surprise release of their critically acclaimed and widely successful single "Sucker. The double-platinum single debuted at #1 on Billboard's Hot 100, becoming the first #1 for the band and the first #1 debut from a group this century.  The song emerged as a cultural phenomenon, ranking #1 on Billboard’s critic's picks list of the “50 Best Songs of 2019, and standing out as the top song on U.S. Radio in 2019, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.

Making history once more, the band delivered their third #1 album debut with the release of their platinum-selling album Happiness Begins. The band continued to soar with their sold-out Happiness Begins Tour, with over 1 million tickets sold.  The tour received unanimous praise with Billboard writing, “The ‘Happiness Begins’ Tour feels like a celebration of everything in the Jonas Brothers' career, but also the beginning of their larger-than-life new chapter,” and The Washington Post claiming, “There hasn’t been a boy band in recent history that’s made a comeback quite like Jonas Brothers. Moreover, Rolling Stone summed it best, “Following a six year hiatus, it almost feels like the Jonas Brothers are bigger than ever.”

The band closed out a banner year with the release of “Only Human, another Top 5 hit on both Top 40 and Hot AC radio airplay charts. What’s more, they garnered a bevy of awards, including a 2019 MTV Video Music Award for "Best Pop Video" and two 2019 Teen Choice Awards for "Artist Of The Decade" and "Choice Summer Group.” Plus, they were nominated in top categories at the American Music Awards, including “Favorite Duo or Group Pop/Rock” and “Favorite Song Pop/Rock.” Most recently, they notched their second GRAMMY® nomination for “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.”

CHELSEA CUTLER’S DEBUT ALBUM 'HOW TO BE HUMAN' OUT NOW + FEATURES NEW SINGLE "SAD TONIGHT"
unnamed-15.jpg

Singer, songwriter and producer Chelsea Cutler’s highly anticipated debut album, How To Be Human, is out today via Republic Records—listen HERE!

The 16-track album features Chelsea’s latest single, “Sad Tonight,” written by Cutler and produced by the renowned creative team Captain Cuts. The song is accompanied by the official video, shot by award-winning director Drew Kirsch (“You Need To Calm Down,” “Lover”), out now—watch HERE! Chelsea will make her debut late night television appearance performing “Sad Tonight” on Late Night with Seth Meyers on January 23rd.

Of How To Be Human, Chelsea says, “I am so excited to finally release How To Be Human, my debut full length album. Writing this album taught me so much about life, love, loss and happiness. I couldn’t be more proud or more excited to give it to the world.”

She describes the meaning behind “Sad Tonight,” saying, “‘Sad Tonight’ is the anthemic heartbreak song. I kind of refer to it as the anti-pop pop song. There are so many songs about going out with your friends and partying to get over somebody, so this song is about staying in and indulging in your sadness during a break-up. I’m super excited about ‘Sad Tonight’ because I feel like it’s the best representation of my sound in a more pop leaning direction, and I’m proud to call it the lead single off the album.”

How To Be Human, of which Chelsea produced 13 songs, also includes her previously released singles, “I Was In Heaven,” “Lucky (w/ Alexander 23),” “You Are Losing Me” and the title track, “How To Be Human.” The album has already received critical praise from Billboard, E! News, UPROXX, NYLON, Idolator, L’Officiel, EARMILK, Ones To Watch and more.

Next month, Chelsea will hit the road on her “How To Be Human” World Tour with Alexander 23 and X Lovers as support, kicking off on February 13th in Dallas at Canton Hall and making sold out stops at New York’s Terminal 5Boston’s House Of BluesSeattle’s Showbox SoDo and more. She will also make her Coachella debut this April, as a recently announced artist on Saturday’s lineup. See her full list of upcoming tour dates below. Tickets are on sale now at www.chelseacutler.com/.

Motley Crue Stadium tour Introduces TUK SMITH & THE RESTLESS HEARTS
tukbandphoto.jpg

If rock is dead, someone forgot to tell Tuk Smith. He flies the flag for the genre in the same way as today’s rock idols have.  So it is only fitting he open for some of them - Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett will ‘introduce’ Tuk Smith & The Restless Hearts via their upcoming stadium tour.

After cutting his teeth -- among many other things -- for nine years as the frontman for the Atlanta rock band Biters, Tuk’s solo debut sees him further expanding the reaches of his musical vision into an album that unifies multiple musical styles. Tuk’s debut album, Lookin’ for Love, Ready for War,showcases the versatility of his songwriting. From instantly infectious anthems to intricately arranged rockers and  Americana-tinged ballads the album favors dedication over debauchery. In many ways it’s a musical homecoming for Smith that shows that though he’s covered with battle scars from perfecting his craft, he’s come out on the other side with an amazing collection of songs.

Mötley Crüe - Def Leppard - Poison - Joan Jett-Horizontal-12.3.19_BLANK.jpg

Produced by the legendary Rob Cavallo (Green Day, Eric Clapton, My Chemical Romance) explains “People that really like honest-to-god Rock and Roll - this is the kind of stuff they’ll love.  If you are a Tom Petty fan or a Bruce Springsteen fan, if you like really great old-fashioned American Rock and Roll then I believe you’ll like Tuk’s music because it’s cut from that same cloth.  It’s original and it is it’s own thing, I think he’s the real deal!”  “What Kinda Love,” is an instantly infectious anthem that unifies Tuk’s love of rock, punk and glam into a unique amalgam of what’s missing from today’s musical landscape. “What Kinda Love” has Joan-Jett-meets-John Mellencamp grandeur and is part of a collection of songs that are a testament to the fact that you don’t need to follow trends in order to create art that fosters a connection with your audience.

Tuk produced and wrote the video, of which he explains “I think when people first hear the song they might not get its meaning right away. I wanted to create a narrative in the video that helped complement the lyrics. Having full creative vision as an artist is as rewarding as it is daunting. If something doesn’t pan out right there is no one to blame but yourself, but it’s the best feeling when your vision becomes reality. I had so many close friends and family act, be extras, and work on videos with me. I’m so lucky to have such a pool of talent and characters to pull from.”
