MAC MILLER POSTHUMOUS ALBUM ‘CIRCLES’ IS COMING OUT THIS MONTH
Mac-Miller-1280x768.jpg

On Instagram Wednesday Mac Miller’s family wrote that they will be releasing the late rappers posthumous album ‘Circles’ as a companion to his last album ‘Swimming’ . This would have been Mac Miller’s sixth studio album.

Read the family's statement on Circles in full below:

Here we are. The act of having to write this at all feels surreal. At the time of his passing, Malcolm was well into the process of recording his companion album to Swimming entitled Circles. Two different styles complementing each other, completing a circle. Swimming in Circles was the concept. He had been working with Jon Brion, who after hearing some early versions of songs, cleared his calendar to help Malcolm fine-tune them. After his passing, Jon dedicated himself to finishing Circles based on his time and conversations with Malcolm. We are eternally grateful to Jon and to those who gave their best to the difficult and emotional task of putting out this body of work.

This is a complicated process that has no right answer. No clear path. We simply know that it was important to Malcolm for the world to hear it. One of the most difficult decisions in the process is how best to let people know about it, how to communicate meaningfully while keeping sacred what should be kept sacred. So this will be the only post on any of his channels. Information regarding this release, his charity, and Malcolm himself will be found at @92tilinfinity. Thank you to all the fans who've supported him unconditionally through the years. We miss him. We are left to imagine where Malcolm was going and to appreciate where he was. We hope you take the time to listen. The look on his face when everyone was listening said it all.

With humility and gratitude,
Malcolm's family

Cigarettes After Sex Play Jimmy Kimmel Live On January 9th
unnamed-9.jpg

Cigarettes After Sex will be playing Jimmy Kimmel Live on January 9th. This is after the release of their widely successful sophomore LP, Cry. Last month the band performed four tracks off of the recent project in an intimate KEXP session.

Their first single, "Heavenly" achieved over sixteen million streams and was featured in NPR's Heavy Rotation. Their monthly listeners has amassed to 4.5M on Spotify. Cigarettes After Sex recently finished 2019 with a successful national and European tour with a second European tour starting in March 2020. All dates are listed below.

After decamping to Mallorca the same week that their self-titled minimalist pop masterwork debut was released in 2017, Gonzalez and his bandmates - Jacob Tomsky (drums) & Randy Miller (bass) - consciously let the striking location guide the initial Cry sessions. “The sound of this record is completely tied to the location for me,” Gonzalez explains. “Ultimately, I view this record as a film. It was shot in this stunning, exotic location, and it stitches all these different characters and scenes together, but in the end is really about romance, beauty & sexuality. It’s a very personal telling of what those things mean to me.”

While the music came quickly – often improvised on the spot – it would be another two years before Gonzalez would attempt to complete the accompanying lyrics. Helped by the burgeoning love of a new relationship, the influence of films by Éric Rohmer, and the songs of Selena and Shania Twain among others, Cry blends the carnal subtlety of their debut with a warmer palette. The album was self-produced and engineered by Gonzalez, and mixed by Craig Silvey (Arcade Fire, Yeah Yeah Yeahs).

Cigarettes After Sex’s self-titled debut has sold over 550k records to date (streaming equivalent), amassing over 360 million Spotify streams, 4.5 million monthly listeners, and 350 million YouTube streams. The band’s list of on-the-record fans include everyone from Taylor Swift, Kylie Jenner, Lana Del Rey, Françoise Hardy, Lily Allen, Busy Philipps + more. They’ve been featured in Vice Noisey, V Magazine, Interview, NPR’s Tiny Desk, and their music has appeared in ‘The Handmaid’s Tale,’ ‘Killing Eve,’ and Ralph Lauren ads.

OH WONDER SHARES NEW SINGLE “HAPPY” + 'NO ONE ELSE CAN WEAR YOUR CROWN' TOUR
unnamed-8.jpg

Oh Wonder welcomes you warmly into 2020 with their brand new single “Happy” out today—listen HERE! The new track arrives just weeks before the band’s fast-approaching third album, No One Else Can Wear Your Crown, is released on February 7th. The duo has also unveiled international dates for the “Wear Your Crown Tour,” which is on sale now at www.ohwondermusic.com. See a full list of dates below.

“Happy” is the fourth glimpse at what is to come from Oh Wonder’s highly anticipated third album, and once again finds the band putting modern, millennial love under the microscope. Inspired by the moment you realize you are able to wish your ex well with their new love, and actually mean it, “Happy” was in fact written by the band about Anthony’s ex-girlfriend; an irony that isn’t lost on the band who sing the track together, as a couple.

No One Else Can Wear Your Crown was written and self-produced in Oh Wonder’s own home studio, before being co-mixed with Cenzo Townshend (Bat For Lashes, Christine & The Queens, Jungle). In its 10-track entirety, it’s a record that explores a host of different emotions and experiences—some forged on the road on their last world tour, which included 300,000 world-wide tickets sold, and others from taking a break and reflecting on all that they’ve accomplished as a band so far, which includes a Top 10 album, a billion streams worldwide and global sold out tours.

It’s therefore unsurprising that No One Else Can Wear Your Crown has an overriding message of self-acceptance, empowerment and joy. It’s there in their brand new single “Happy,” as much as it’s in the Carpe Diem chorus of first single “Hallelujah”—a song of defiance that Josephine and Anthony wrote for anyone that has ever been told they can't do something.

Ultimately, it’s difficult not to leave No One Else Can Wear Your Crown feeling uplifted and entirely convinced of the power of Oh Wonder. Recharged and ready for the next chapter, Oh Wonder appears more able than ever to just make it work: whether navigating the big questions of how to live and work with your partner down to the everyday drama of what happens to your dog now you have to go back on tour. No One Else Can Wear Your Crown is a candid, restorative set that offers a welcome antidote to our turbulent times, from a band firmly writing their own bright future. Ask, believe, receive.

OZZY OSBOURNE Unveils Video For "Under The Graveyard"
ozzy-osbourne-2019.jpg

OZZY OSBOURNE

UNVEILS VIDEO FOR

#1 ROCK RADIO TRACK

"UNDER THE GRAVEYARD"

FROM FORTHCOMING ALBUM, 'ORDINARY MAN,'

DUE OUT EARLY NEXT YEAR

For his new video for the #1 rock track "Under The Graveyard," OZZY OSBOURNE reteamed with acclaimed film director, screenwriter and music video director Jonas Akerlund (who worked with OSBOURNE on videos for "Let Me Hear You Scream" and "Gets Me Through"). Watch the video here.

The semi-autobiographical video was recently filmed in Los Angeles and features actors Jack Kilmer (as OZZY OSBOURNE) and Jessica Barden (as Sharon Osbourne). Set in the late 70s in the early part of OZZY's solo career, the clip shows the darkness of life and how a helping hand and love can change everything.

"For 'Under the Graveyard' Jonas (Akerlund) developed the story into a 'mini movie,'" says OZZY OSBOURNE. "But, to be quite honest, it's hard for me to watch because it takes me back to some of the darkest times in my life. Thankfully Sharon was there to pick me up and believe in me. It was the first time she was there to fully support me and build me back up, but it certainly wasn't the last."

"Under The Graveyard" recently captured the #1 position on the Rock Radio Chart and has eclipsed 5.4 million streams worldwide. It marks the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy®-winning singer and songwriter's third #1 on this chart and his first in 10 years; "Under The Graveyard" is his first new solo music in as many years. It's the first track from OZZY's forthcoming album, ORDINARY MAN, due out on Epic Records in early 2020

ORDINARY MAN was recorded in Los Angeles and features producer Andrew Watt on guitars, Duff McKagan (Guns N' Roses) on bass and Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers) on drums.
