Sexyy Red Nominated for "Favorite Female Hip-Hop Artist" and "Favorite Hip-Hop Song" at American Music Awards

Sexyy Red rose from St. Louis to the top of the rap game without changing a thing about her unapologetic self. Today, the Northside Princess adds to her growing collection of accolades, as she garners two nominations at the 2025 American Music Awards. Sexyy Red will compete in the "Favorite Female Hip-Hop Artist" category and earned a nod in the "Favorite Hip-Hop Song" category for "Whatchu Kno About Me," her PLATINUM-selling collaboration with GloRilla. These are Sexyy's first career nominations at the American Music Awards, and follow previous nominations at the 2024 BET Awards and MTV Video Music Awards.

Sexyy's AMA nominations arrive in the wake of her new single "Hoochie Coochie," a brash banger produced by Mac Fly, and "YN," a new collaboration that originated on stream with PlaqueBoyMax, gathering three of the underground's hottest emcees–Chicago's BabyChiefDoit, and Atlanta's Lazer Dim 700 and Baby Kia–to compete for her affections. Earlier in the year, Sexyy made a splash with "Fat Juicy & Wet," her all-star collaboration with Bruno Mars. With a music video that featured guest appearances from Lady Gaga and LISA, the hitmaking odd couple made a splash, debuting at #17 on the Billboard Hot 100. To date, "Fat Juicy & Wet" has racked up hundreds of millions of streams across platforms, including 34 million views on the YouTube video, and just hit #1 on Urban Mainstream Radio. Earlier this month, Sexyy announced her new partnership with True Religion, officially becoming an ambassador for one of her favorite brands and launching her own "Own Your True" collection.

Sexyy is working hard on the follow-up to 2024's hit mixtape In Sexyy We Trust, looking to build upon a year that featured her career highlight singles "Get It Sexyy," "U My Everything," and "Rich Baby Daddy." Stay tuned for much more from the Northside St. Louis princess very soon.
