ACTOR JIM BELUSHI TAKES VIEWERS INSIDE HIS LEGAL CANNABIS FARM IN NEW REALITY SERIES “GROWING BELUSHI”

GROWING BELUSHI PREMIERES WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 19 AT 10 PM ET/PT ON DISCOVERY

Actor Jim Belushi (According to Jim, SNL) is a man of many talents – actor, singer, dancer and now… legal cannabis farmer. Using his many talents, combined with an immense passion, Jim is ready for his next stage in life – building a cannabis business from scratch in southern Oregon. Informative, mischievous and moving, the all-new series, GROWING BELUSHI, premieres on Discovery Wednesday, August 19 at 10 PM ET/PT and is produced by Original Productions and Live Nation Productions.

“This is much more than a business for me. I’ve seen the positive impact that cannabis has had in treating people from around the world,” said Belushi. “Everything grows in Growing Belushi. The Cannabis, the business, the family. And especially me. We almost called it Growing Pains!”

True to heart, Jim has decided to dedicate his life to starting and running a flourishing legal cannabis farm. As they navigate the many challenges of this newly legalized industry, Jim and his ragtag team of farmers have an opportunity to follow their passion and find success in something they believe in. Joined by his cousin Chris and with appearances from Dan Aykroyd, Judy Belushi and a cast of misfits (including Jim’s own family), as well as a musical appearance by The Blues Brothers, GROWING BELUSHI will take Discovery’s audiences inside Jim’s world and show the incredible effort it takes to build a legal cannabis operation.

“We are always looking for a show that takes you by surprise and this one did – it’s fun and funny and has a lot of heart. I think people will see Jim Belushi in a whole new way after watching,” said Nancy Daniels, Chief Brand Officer, Discovery & Factual.

“Live Nation has had a long, meaningful relationship with Jim Belushi personally and through the Blues Brothers and House of Blues, so we are excited to help with sharing his story of Belushi Farms with Discovery’s audiences,” said Michael Rapino, CEO of Live Nation.

“We are thrilled to continue our long-running partnership with Discovery which has included the Emmy-winning Deadliest Catch, along with the recent spin-off, Deadliest Catch: Bloodline,” said Jeff Hasler, President of Original Productions.  “We’ve always been about providing a platform for big dreams and ambitious stories.  No one has a bigger dream and more ambition than Jim Belushi.”

What began in 2015 as a meager 48-plant crop, Jim’s farm today encompasses a sprawling and spiritual 93 acres along the Rogue River in southern Oregon, offering a range of brands from Belushi’s Secret Stash (with Jim’s favorite strain Cherry Pie) to Captain Jack’s Gulzar Afghanica (a rare strain from the Hindu Kush region that became known in the ‘70s as “the smell of SNL.”)

Having suffered the loss of his brother John to an overdose – as well as having experienced his own journey of learning and healing with cannabis – Jim has become an outspoken advocate for the positive medical benefits of cannabis including pain management and improving quality of life. The series will shed light on Jim’s journey of self-discovery and the incredible effort it takes to build a legal cannabis farm with the dream of helping others thrive.

In addition to watching the show on Discovery, viewers can stream GROWING BELUSHI by downloading the Discovery GO app. Viewers can join the conversation on social media by using the hashtag #GrowingBelushi and follow Discovery on FacebookInstagram, and Twitter for the latest updates.

New England’s superior rock band, Four Year Strong, has today shared their new single “bad habit”. A muscular, tom-heavy track, “bad habit” is the latest from the band’s forthcoming album analysis paralysis, set to be released on August 9  via Pure Noise Records. Fans can check out the new track here: https://purenoiserecs.lnk.to/FYSmusic and watch the music video here: https://youtu.be/m2YbVM9V2qM.

Pre-order analysis paralysis now at https://purenoiserecs.lnk.to/FourYearStrong.

Four Year Strong is currently on tour in North America with A Day To Remember and The Story So Far. They’ll also recently appeared at Four Chord Music Festival and will be performing at When We Were Young Festival this October. For a full list of upcoming dates, please see below or visit: http://fouryearstrong.com/.

When it was time for Four Year Strong to prep what would become their sixth album, analysis paralysis, they were truly, finally, stumped. Vocalist/guitarists Dan O’Connor and Alan Day showed up to producer Will Putney’s studio on day one of recording without a single finished song, in stark contrast to the 40-some ideas they brought to the table for 2020’s Brain Pain

The two spent those early days in a bedroom at Putney’s house talking about, and listening to, music, desperate for a spark of inspiration. They found it by looking back: at what made Brain Pain a success and even the genesis of Four Year Strong as a band as they rode their trademark sound – pop-punk energy, dexterous riffage and caustic hardcore spirit – to the top of the underground in the late aughts. Within a month, they’d completed nearly 80% of the album, like the ominous, metal-meets-industrial “aftermath / afterthought.” They melded combustible hardcore rhythms with ‘90s alt-rock melodic bliss (“uncooked”), dabbled in rough-around-the-edges reggae (“out of touch”) and swerved between vibe-heavy synths and thunderous breakdowns (“STFIL”).

The result is an album that expands their classic sound in exciting ways – but through it all, it’s unmistakably them: O’Connor and Day’s distinctive vocals atop the airtight rhythm section prowess drummer Jake Massucco and bassist Joe Weiss provide. This deep into their career, there’s really nothing that doesn’t sound like Four Year Strong with these four involved.

Directed by Billie Eilish“Lunch” made its broadcast premiere on MTV Live, MTVU, MTV Biggest Pop, and on the Paramount Times Square billboard.

HIT ME HARD AND SOFT (Darkroom/Interscope Records) does exactly as the title suggests. Featuring 10 original and genre-defying tracks, HIT ME HARD AND SOFT journeys through a vast and expansive audio landscape, immersing listeners through a full spectrum of emotions. A truly cinematic, diverse, and cohesive body of work, that Eilish considers a “family of songs,” ideally intended to be listened to from beginning to end. HIT ME HARD AND SOFT is her boldest and most daring work yet, and what Rolling Stone hails as her “best album yet.”

HIT ME HARD AND SOFT was written by Billie Eilish and FINNEAS, her brother and long-time collaboratorwho also produced the album. The album is available today on all digital platforms, and in a continued effort to minimize waste and combat climate change; across all physical formats in limited variants, with the same track-listing and using 100% recyclable materials. *The tour wants to give fans, not scalpers, the best chance to buy tickets at face value. To make this possible they have chosen to use Ticketmaster’s Face Value Exchange. If fans purchase tickets for a show in the U.S. or Canada and can't attend, they'll have the option to resell them to other fans at the original price paid. To help protect the Exchange, the tour has requested all tickets be mobile only and restricted from transfer. This applies to all shows except those in Colorado, Illinois, and New York where Face Value Exchange cannot be mandated. Please note, a valid bank account or debit card within the country of your event is required to sell on the Face Value Exchange. More information on how the Ticketmaster Exchange works is available here.
