(ON ALL PLATFORMS)

Polyvinyl Record Co. and Laura Jane Grace are excited to announce the release of Hole In My Head, the Emmy-nominated artist, author, activist and musician’s acclaimed new full-length album (stream and purchase HERE). Recorded at Native Sound in St. Louis, MO with David Beeman and mixed by Matt Allison (The Lawrence Arms, Rise Against), Hole In My Head is a showcase that features warm, ‘50s rock-influenced guitar riffs, saved-for-later lyrics, love letters to new surroundings, and thoughtful reflections on a punk life lived. Grace’s commanding vocals are backed predominately by her performances on guitar and drums, and bolstered by Drive-By Truckers bassist Matt Patton, whose presence rounds out a full-band sound on over half the album.

Additionally, Grace and her band will be touring behind Hole In My Head this March, May and July across the U.S. and Canada with support from Worriers, Sam Russo, Thelma and the Sleaze and Dikembe in select markets. Tickets for all shows are on sale now via Grace’s site HERE, and a full listing of dates can be found below.

A musical force since Against Me!'s debut in the late-’90s and one of Billboard Magazine’s “50 Greatest Rock Lead Singers Of All Time,” punk veteran Laura Jane Grace has never shied away from themes of political commentary, environmentalism, social critique and candid self-exploration. On Hole In My Head, she continues to showcase her songwriting genius across the 11 tracks presented here, issuing an album that captures the nuances of humanity and experience in a strangely optimistic manner. The lightness of its influence, and the journalistic recollection of experience set against a battered and warm folk-punk delivery from beginning to end, makes Hole In My Head a refreshing comfort and a welcome embrace of life.

From the scrappy acoustic anthem “Dysphoria Hoodie,” the Jonathan Richman-inspired “I’m Not A Cop” and jangle of “Punk Rock in Basements,” a Dion-inspired song where she looks back on the formative underground spaces of her youth, Hole In My Head also takes time to reflect on Grace’s ongoing travels and adopted homes, themes that have always been at the heart of her songwriting. Written in Amsterdam on a black hollow-body Gretsch guitar that was hand-painted by her friend Gakkin, “Birds Talk Too” is a song that commemorates Grace’s recent experience of having her head shaved and tattooed by the famed Japanese artist.

Elsewhere, the easygoing “Tacos and Toast” settles into the ease of living in her now part-time home of St. Louis. Assuming ownership of what was once Jajouka, a storied warehouse studio that previously belonged to Jay Farrar of Son Volt and Uncle Tupelo, Grace views St. Louis as a city where her ability to make music in a new place has been fully renewed. “St. Louis really opened its arms to me and I just have such a great time when I’m there. It’s a really special city,” she says. “To me, it feels like the way every city in America felt when I first started touring in the late-‘90s, and this crazy mix of fun and adventure, but danger and possibility.” Vibrant and direct as ever, Hole In My Head is an exciting hallmark in Grace’s colorful and ever-changing journey.

Laura Jane Grace will be making the following appearances in 2024. Dates below with more to be added soon.

JOINS THIRD EYE BLIND ON THEIR
 2024 SUMMER GODS TOUR
WITH A R I Z O N A

YELLOWCARD is excited to join THIRD EYE BLIND on their fourth edition of the Summer Gods Tour. Produced by Live Nation, the tour will begin June 8 in Spokane through August 3 in Houston and will also feature A R I Z O N A.

Tickets will be available for presale Tuesday, January 9 with Citi, and additional presales throughout the week. General onsale will begin Friday, January 12 at 10:00am local time at
ThirdEyeBlind.com.

On Thursday, January 11 catch a special live performance and interview with Yellowcard on “Good Morning America” on ABC.

“Third Eye Blind’s self-titled is a masterclass in songwriting that blew all of our minds when it was released in 1997,” says Ryan Key of Yellowcard.  “As ‘90s kids we were gifted with so much incredible music in our formative years and we are all such massive fans of the band because of that record. It doesn’t feel real yet that we will be sharing the stage with one of our all-time favorite bands every night this summer.”

“I have this sense that I am feeling the same way everybody else is—that we need a summer tour so badly, like more than ever,” says Stephan Jenkins. “We need the lights, the noise, the heat and everybody up close to each other, singing as one. Can't wait."

Returning from a breakup is never easy, but Yellowcard have proven that after a six-year absence, not only did the heart grow fonder upon their return but their audience grew exponentially as well. Their recent Summer 2023 tour was their biggest yet with the largest venues they have ever headlined at capacity and their critically-hailed new EP Childhood Eyes landing them features in
Rolling Stone, People, FORBES, Alternative Press, Consequence of Sound, Brooklyn Vegan, among others! Coupled with the 20th anniversary of their breakthrough album Ocean Avenue, Yellowcard have returned to much acclaim.

Last December 2023, 2x-GRAMMY®-nominated music producer and DJ Steve Aoki, unveiled a nostalgic dance remix of Yellowcard's classic hit "Ocean Avenue" to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the timeless classic. Injecting fresh production, exhilarating dance drops, and vibrant energy. Aoki said of the remix which was released by Dim Mak, “We combined our different musical styles to create a perfect fusion of alt rock and electronic for this track. Honoring Ocean Avenue's 20th anniversary by blending these sounds was an amazing experience."

Certified double platinum in the US by the RIAA, gold in Canada, and silver in the UK, Ocean Avenue solidified Yellowcard’s indelible mark on the music world. The undying esteem that the album owns has not diminished in the twenty years since its release. Yellowcard's stratospheric success from their studio albums coupled with their powerful live performances cemented the band’s legacy in the history of alternative music.

As always, a portion of the proceeds for the Summer Gods Tour will benefit
SeaTrees. Third Eye Blind has been on a mission to restore the kelp ecosystems of the entire California coastline and sequester carbon. Since 2017, Third Eye Blind has sought to mitigate the touring industry’s carbon impact and also banned plastic water bottles backstage, saving an estimated 17,000 bottles per tour. “We have a beautiful, bright future,” with climate action in the center of it. “That’s what I want people to know,” says Jenkins on CBS Mornings.

The Summer Gods tour poster was designed by Charlie Benante, the founding drummer of Anthrax and member of Pantera’s touring band.

Worriers announce February / March tour dates with Alkaline Trio & Drug Church

Worriers announce February / March tour dates with Alkaline Trio & Drug Church

New album Trust Your Gut out now on Ernest Jenning Record Co.

“Denitzio and crew manage to turn ambivalence into an asset. It's a quality that extends to the band's name, an admission of fear transmuted into a battle flag. And it speaks to the experience of someone at once inspired by punk's ideals and wary of its rhetoric, who's seen enough to know that social pressure and prejudice exist even in communities self-defined against
such things.” -
NPR Music

"It’s no wonder that Lauren Denitzio looked to The Hold Steady — as well as Florence and her indie-royalty peers such as The National, Sharon Van Etten, and Perfume Genius — for inspiration when crafting this record." - Flood Magazine

“A propulsive, synth-fueled heartland rock song” - Brooklyn Vegan on “Trust Your Gut”

“The sonic alchemy of a new wave stunner” -
Paste on “Trust Your Gut”

“…a perfect blend of broccoli with mac and cheese, the bitter and the comforting…” -
Bandcamp

“Here to challenge norms, to defeat the despicable.” - Billboard

“Even from Lauren’s early releases under the Worriers moniker, it was clear that they had an imminently relatable songwriting style, full of folksy flourishes and driving guitars, they were damned if they were going to let the world pen them in.” -
Post-Trash

Today Worriers are excited to announce North American February / March shows supporting Alkaline Trio on their Blood, Hair, And Eyeballs Tour. The tour will kick off on February 22 in Anaheim, CA at The House Of Blues and will include shows in Austin, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., New York, Chicago, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles and more.

The general on-sale for tickets begins today, January 11 at noon Pacific Time.  Information on tickets and can be found on Worriers website and a full listing of dates can be found below.

Worriers are touring in support of their acclaimed 2023 albums Warm Blanket and Trust Your Gut out now on Ernest Jenning Record Co. (order). The albums caught the ears of writers at NPR, Paste Magazine, Flood Magazine, Stereogum, Under The Radar, Brooklyn Vegan, Bandcamp and many more.

The songs featured on Trust Your Gut are part of an unapologetic journey to self-acceptance and each have a distinctive sound all their own. On
"Top 5," bold guitars and a Hammond organ wrestle with the victors and villains of the pandemic years. In contrast, the stripped down, indie-rock reflection “Cloudy and 55” quietly longs for the comfort of home while building independence. On the track Lauren Denitzio's voice sounds as simultaneously comforting and devastating as ever.

For the better part of a decade, Worriers have used their own brand of punk-adjacent indie rock to tell stories of heartbreak, gender expression, identity, and love. Trust Your Gut is the band's first studio album in years and features band members Atom Willard (Against Me!, Social Distortion), Franz Nicolay (The Hold Steady), Frank Piegaro and Cayetana’s Allegra Anka. The album was self-produced by songwriter Lauren Denitzio and is a pivotal release demonstrating the true depth and complexity of their career with the band.

Worriers became Denitzio’s main focus after the wake-up call of open-heart surgery at just 25 years old. The event shook them into leaving a toxic creative partnership and starting a band that could evolve along with them. That priority takes center stage on Trust Your Gut, as Denitzio’s 2019 move from the East Coast to Los Angeles found them collaborating with
Atom Willard (Against Me!, Social Distortion) as a fun exercise, only to realize they had started writing the next album together.

The sonic goals for the album led to the addition of Denitzio’s friend
Franz Nicolay (The Hold Steady) after tweeting that they were trying to write in his style. His response was “Send me demos!” and the results are now foundational melodies layered throughout the album.

With
Frank Piegaro (whose signature guitar style was featured on 2020’s You Or Someone You Know) returning to the lineup, the final addition was Cayetana’s Allegra Anka on bass. It’s not every day an artist gets to share the stage with bands like the above, but Denitzio’s remarkable talent lies in their ability to turn admiration into meaningful collaborations. They credit these partnerships as a springboard to showcase their personal development as a songwriter.

The band’s moniker, Worriers, is a homonym. When introducing someone new to the band, it’s important to specify “Worriers, as in to fret, not to fight.” But Worriers have finally done plenty of fighting on Trust Your Gut. Lest anyone thinks they’ve forgotten the political-punk roots of their debut album Imaginary Life, it wouldn’t be a Worriers record without referencing things like dystopian robot security dogs, dancing on the grave of a fascist, or a nod to the activist-themed novel Stay and Fight.

In a time when people were desperate for connection and leaning into relationships, Denitzio was scrawling a cathartic manifesto denouncing the things that no longer served them. But this is not a record of angst and scorekeeping. Trust Your Gut is an honest and often witty journey through heartbreak on its way to strength. In a way, Denitzio was also starting a new and incredibly vital relationship: one with themself.

To get where you’re going, you have to get away from where you’ve been. Coming up in the DIY scene, Worriers have earned the mark of a seasoned traveler, ready to demonstrate all they’ve learned along the way. Come for the biting self-empowerment and stay for the nods to pop, rock, indie, and folk. On Trust Your Gut, Denitzio emerges from the ashes, not as a phoenix reborn per se, but rather fortified by their past to build a more resilient future.

Dayseeker are a quiet killer. The band has steadily built a buzz over the past several years — and they have reached a tipping point. Dayseeker built themselves into a scene standout with 2019's Sleeptalk, which was hailed by Alternative Press as  "a warm and welcome release to higher ground" and as "much needed fresh air into the post-hardcore scene." The album has gone on to accumulate over 125 million streams, and it positioned the band as a formidable force — and one that is primed to take its next big leap. In 2021, the band dropped a deluxe version of Sleeptalk, featuring four reimagined versions of album tracks, which offered fans a fresh and unique take on songs they already love. It also demonstrated the depth and breadth of the band's creative vision, scope, and possibilities. However, Dark Sun catapulted the band beyond the scene's stratosphere. The album is out now via Spinefarm and is at 80 millions streams.

EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY ADD NEW DATES TO ONGOING THE END TOUR

“Here’s hoping that End is only the beginning.” - AV CLUB

“End, with its return to heavier rock pastures after The Wilderness’ more gnarled, electronic compositions, lives up to the anticipation. The band never managed to deploy such huge emotions in such unpredictable ways.” - SPIN

“By adding End to their catalog, they’ve profoundly expanded on an already incredible career. Endshould be the playbook for any artist who wants to balance giving fans what they want while growing their creative craft almost three decades in.” - PASTE

“This album suggests that EITS still have so many stories to tell.” - BROOKLYN VEGAN

Explosions In The Sky have just announced a new slew of dates in continued support of End, their recently released first new album in seven years. Long renowned for their cathartic and euphoric live shows, the band’s new dates pick up where they left off on their rapturously received Fall tour dates across the US’s eastern and Midwestern quadrants and subsequent European run, kicking off with a pair of dates in Austin before turning their focus on the west coast and southwest in addition to a handful of dates in Asia. As with the previous dates, the band are paying homage to their humble beginnings (when they got early breaks as a local opener for big touring acts like Fugazi and Built To Spill) by having promoters of each headlining concert curate local opening acts rather than selecting one established support band for the entire tour, embodying the album’s thematic embrace of the cycle of life.

End is arguably the grandest Explosions In The Sky album to date – melding the quiet restraint and crushing weight of their early recordings with the aural exploration and ornate experimentation of their later works all the while incorporating skills and insights gleaned from their increasingly deep film and television scoring experiences. While End was inspired by darkness, it became a loud, dramatic, wild rumination on life and death. Over nearly 25 years of being a band Explosions In The Sky have achieved remarkable critical and commercial success while making an especially non-commercial style of music – having sold nearly two million albums worldwide and scored five major motion pictures to date. They’ve become the sound of modern sports films, documentaries and television series – due largely to their genre-defining Friday Night Lights score – and have found a diverse array of major artists as fans as well, having been invited to tour with Nine Inch Nails, The Smashing Pumpkins, The Flaming Lips, Death Cab for Cutie, and many others.
