Movement Music Festival has announced the full lineup of its 2023 edition, featuring over 115 acts, including a headlining set from the legendary UK dance duo Basement Jaxx (DJ Set), joining previously announced headliners Underworld and Charlotte de Witte.

Today’s announcement also includes dance music titan Skrillex (off the back of his recently sold out Madison Square Garden show and back-to-back album releases Don’t Get Too Close and Quest For Fire); Techno pioneer Cybotron; acclaimed electronic music producer Bonobo (DJ Set); legendary Memphis hip-hop group Three 6 Mafia; Detroit Techno stalwarts Carl Craig ft. Jon Dixon (live); electronic music heavyweight Kaskade playing under his underground alias Kaskade Redux; Swedish-born Techno producer, DJ and Drumcode recording artist Ida Engberg; UK house and breakbeat veteran Paul Woolford performing under his coveted alias Special Request; legendary German Techno producer Stephan Bodzin (live); Keinemusik member Adam Port; minimal techno pioneer Ricardo Villalobos; iconic dubstep duo Zeds Dead performing as Zeds Dead (Altered States) (Altered States is the duo’s new label focused on exploring a diverse range of electronic music); rising Jersey club DJ and producer Uniiqu3 and many others.

Music fans will once again descend upon Detroit, the mecca of Techno music, and be treated to three days of diverse curation on Memorial Day Weekend (May 27-29, 2023) inside Hart Plaza at downtown Detroit’s riverfront. Since its inception, Movement has been dedicated to bringing music fans a completely original experience to Detroit, with a focus on showcasing authentic and diverse lineups that are purely about the music and culture. Still reeling from the overwhelming success of their headlining slot at Riot Fest in Chicago in September 2022, YELLOWCARD have decided to keep the excitement rolling with the announcement of more shows in 2023.  Celebrating 20 years of their breakthrough album Ocean Avenue which was released July 2003, Ryan Key (vocals, guitars), Sean Mackin (violin), Ryan Mendez (guitar) and Josh Portman (bass) will be embarking on a North American tour, produced by Live Nation, kicking off July 5th in Baltimore, Maryland and circling the continent until August 8th where they wind down in Denver, CO.  Mayday Parade, Story of the Year, Anberlin and This Wild Life support (see full itinerary and support dates below). Emo Night Brooklyn will also be opening the show with a special DJ set in select cities.

Certified double platinum in the US by the RIAA, gold in Canada, and silver in the UK, Ocean Avenue solidified Yellowcard’s indelible mark on the music world.  The undying esteem that the album owns has not diminished in the twenty years since its release. Buzzworthy indie rock artist Michigander, the sonic alter ego of Michigan native Jason Singer, will be heading out on a 21-date spring headlining tour in support of his fourth EP, It Will Never Be The Same, out later this month. Last Wednesday, the band returned to their roots for a surprise homecoming show at Chicago’s legendary 1,000-capacity Metro – announced only two days prior, the show immediately sold out. Just down the street from Wrigley Field, the band first played the venue in September 2002, a pivotal gig that FOB’s Patrick Stump jokingly called back to for the packed crowd two decades later: “Twenty years ago, I told my mom I was going to take a semester off [college] because we were headlining Metro and I wanted to see how that would work out.” FOB’s Pete Wentz expressed the band’s enduring relationship with the venue: “Walking up those stairs is the closest thing this band will have to church.”

Variety hailed the night as a “triumphant hometown show,” noting that “there are concerts, and there are events, and a hometown show in Chicago from [Fall Out Boy] is definitely in the latter category.” Over the course of the night, the band ripped through a mix of their biggest hits and deepest cuts, with Illinois Entertainer praising the set as “taking full advantage of both the intimate venue and the loyal hometown crowd to deliver a once-in-a-decade event.”

The show also featured the live public debut of both “Love From The Other Side” (listen here) and “Heartbreak Feels So Good” (listen here), two tracks from the new album and the latter of which was released the morning of the show. The Chicago Sun-Times lauded the two tracks, noting the new material “takes all they’ve learned and accomplished the past 20 years and combines it with their unflinching roots for an ultimate glow-up.”

Prior to the show, the city was enveloped with teasing signage across city buildings and stations along the ‘L.” Foreshadowing the impending tour announcement, the marquees at Metro and Wrigley both featured curiously complimentary nods to the 1989 film Field of Dreams.

 Fall Out Boy first hit the stage in 2023 with a dynamic set at iHeartRadio ALTer EGO in Los Angeles, CA on January 14, just days after officially revealing the release date for “Love From The Other Side.”

Fall Out Boy most recently co-headlined THE HELLA MEGA TOUR in July 2021 alongside Green Day & Weezer, playing live in front of over 1 million fans on a sold-out global stadium tour. The U.S. leg included numerous sold-out stadium gigs – including renowned venues like Wrigley Field, Boston’s Fenway Park and Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium. Critical and fan acclaim poured in, with USA Today hailing it “the most stacked line-up of any rock tour in 2021,” Billboard noting that each night was “serving up a buffet of hits in front of one of the largest concert crowds,” and Rolling Stone calling it “wildly entertaining.” The tour was nominated for both Major Tour of the Year and Best Rock Tour at the Pollstar Awards in 2021. The international leg of the tour took place throughout the summer of 2022.

So Much (For) Stardust is Fall Out Boy’s eighth studio album and first since 2018’s M A  N  I  A, which garnered a GRAMMY nomination for Best Rock Album and marked their third consecutive and fourth overall #1 album.

With his commanding presence and street veteran status, Doodie Lo didn't come this far to only come this far. Carrying all his momentum from a breakout year in 2022, the Kankakee, IL, native teams with Trippie Redd to acclimate himself to stardom in his new video for "Who You Are." The standout track from Lil Durk and Only The Family's Loyal Bros 2 compilation mixtape, released in December, finds Doodie striving to strike a balance between his hustler's roots and his emerging stardom as he faces the criticisms that come with it: “They say, ‘Doodie, you don’t even know who you are now’/Gotta watch how I move cause I’m a star now.”

Directed by CrownSoHeavy, "Who You Are" opens on Doodie hunched over on a wall, with his head hung low like he's had enough as he starts to feel the heat creep in. The video provides a portrait of both Doodie the rap star and the man behind the curtains, showing how one's success effects the other as he stands on his bonafides in the face of criticism. People say he's changed, but he didn't put the work in just to stay the same.

“Who You Are” arrives as Doodie Lo’s first new music of the year, following recent singles like the Kodak Black-featuring “ISTG Pt. 2, ” “Back Bone,” “FACE,” and the Icewear Vezzo-assisted “Melrose,” which helped him make his mark with his sizzling street anthems last year. In 2021, Doodie Lo made an impact with Big Doodie Lo, the artist’s debut full-length project. The mixtape is home to “Me & Doodie Lo,” an energetic collab between King Von and Doodie that originally appeared on OTF’s Loyal Bros compilation (and racked up over 15 million YouTube views), in which the legendary O-Block native gives Mr. Kankakee an enthusiastic co-sign. Over the past year, Doodie Lo has considerably grown his profile, gaining tens of thousands of YouTube subscribers and Spotify Monthly Listeners, and collaborating with heavy hitters like Moneybagg Yo, Pooh Shiesty, BIG30, and more.
