Bikini Kill 2022 International Tour Kicks Off April 26

"Hanna is one of the great frontpeople of all time, but she is best with this band behind her. The pounding of Vail’s toms doubled by Kathi Wilcox’s bass pushes Hanna’s voice into a roar that is primal and undeniable; she makes you listen." - The New York Times

“Bikini Kill’s insurrectionism feels more vital than ever. Their cool protest songs predicted and shaped our current cultural moment, in which recognizing the politics in art is non-negotiable.” Pitchfork

"Bikini Kill played as if their energy had been cryonically preserved in 1997." Rolling Stone

Legendary feminist punk band Bikini Kill will kick off their long awaited, expansive international tour next month. In 2019, the iconic group played their first full shows since 1997, performing to ecstatic, sold out crowds in select US cities and London. They are thrilled to bring their blistering live show to stages across the globe once again, after their 2020 international tour was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Fans can purchase tickets to the rescheduled tour and a handful of new shows HERE. Previous ticket holders can contact their local venues for policies regarding refunds.

These shows see the band performing with their original line-up of Kathleen Hanna on vocals, Tobi Vail on drums, and Kathi Wilcox on bass -- along with guitarist Erica DawnLyle. Hailed by The New York TimesRolling StonePitchfork and The Los Angeles Times, the reunion has sparked critical discussion on the band’s legacy and influence on culture and music today with Entertainment WeeklyNYLONThe New York Times

The tour includes a valiant 2-night sold out return to Olympia, WA, where they first started, to benefit Interfaith Works Nightly Shelter, a local non-profit acting as the only shelter/homeless services program that explicitly prioritizes women and LGBT single adults in the Olympia community.

JUICY J & WIZ KHALIFA RETURN WITH NEW SONG “BACKSEAT”

Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa return with their new song “Backseat” (featuring Project Pat and fully produced by Juicy J) from their anticipated collab album due out February 2022. Accompanied by a music video directed by Gabriel Hart (Gucci Mane, Future, Migos, Young Jeezy), the vibe couples Juicy’s trippy lifestyle with Khalifa’s rockstar aesthetic. In the visual the camera pans to longtime collaborator Project Pat in front of vintage cars in a scene reminiscent of a car meet - a play on words to the song title. This new track follows last month’s “Pop That Trunk” which set the tone for the project and received praise from Complex, Vulture, Billboard, Vibe, and more. Stay tuned for more album details soon.

Celtic Punks THE RUMJACKS on tour with Dropkick Murphys and The Bombpops

Celtic punks The Rumjacks have just released their new 'Brass For Gold'EP, just 11 days before kicking off their U.S. tour as support for Dropkick Murphys.

The follow-up to their critically acclaimed and commercially successful 2021 fifth studio album 'Hestia' (which introduced new singer/songwriter Mike Rivkees on lead vocals and rejuvenated the band's collaborative spirit, and marked an explosive new era of energy and creative release), 'Brass for Gold' finds The Rumjacks capitalizing off their new sense of artistry.

“After the amazing response we had from Hestia’s release, we knew we had to back it up, do it justice and show we aren’t messing around with any of this,” says bassist Johnny McKelvey.

The Rumjacks will follow up their dates with Dropkick Murphys with their own U.S. headline tour, which kicks off in May, giving their fans in the States several opportunities to see them live. European dates were also announced this week for March/April.

GWAR To Release “The New Dark Ages” June 3rd on CD and Digital / September 16th on Vinyl and Cassette

GWAR is set to release their ambitious new album “The New Dark AgesJune 3rd on CD and Digital, and on September 16th on Vinyl and Cassette via GWAR’s own label Pit Records. Pre-orders are available at: https://gwar.net/collections/the-new-dark-ages

The album concept is tied to a companion graphic novel, “GWAR In the Duoverse of Absurdity,” which will be released by Z2 Comics on June 3rd. In the graphic novel the band are sucked off into an alternate universe to do battle with their evil twins and the specter of rogue technology. On “The New Dark Ages” our heroes floorboard it through a kaleidoscope of hard driving heavy metal, and rock-n-fucking roll, building on their hilarious mythos, introducing cool new characters, and cataloging mankind’s hapless abandonment of their passions, rituals, and beliefs.

The Berserker Blóthar says: “This is the greatest rock record of all time. These are the songs for a new age, a New Dark Age, when men live by the dimming light of a technology destined to betray them. Listen, as we have a rock and roll orgy in the ruins of the world to celebrate humanity’s descent into an age of darkness, disease, ignorance, and death.”

The New Dark Ages” is available for pre-order on cassette, CD, and multiple different colors of vinyl (whiskey, sunbolt and black/gold marble) and the graphic novel as both soft and hard cover. Bundles are available including ones with Blóthar bobbleheads, and a one of a kind Beefcake helmet. See them all at https://gwar.net/collections/the-new-dark-ages.

Critically acclaimed GRAMMY® Award nominated global sensations Glass Animals continue to break records and reach new career highs in 2022, solidifying them as the biggest rock band in the world.
