Billy Talent Drop New Single "End of Me" Feat. Weezer's Rivers Cuomo + Announce New Album "Crisis of Faith"

BILLY TALENT TEAM WITH RIVERS CUOMO OF WEEZER ON NEW SINGLE "END OF ME" — LISTEN

BAND ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM CRISIS OF FAITH AVAILABLE NOW FOR PRE-ORDER/PRE-SAVE

Juno Award-winning rockers Billy Talent have joined forces with Rivers Cuomo of Weezer on their new single "End of Me."

The song is the latest new music from the band, following a string of recent hits that include the No. 1 singles "Reckless Paradise" and "I Beg to Differ (This Will Get Better)," along with the anthemic prog-inspired "Forgiveness I + II." The new single arrives with a lyric video, which can be seen here.

Click here to hear "End of Me" (Feat. Rivers Cuomo).

"This is a full circle moment for us," the band says. "We've admired and have been fans of Weezer since the Blue Album until now. Before we had a title, this song was originally called 'Hendrix+Weezer,' so it only felt right to ask Rivers to sing on it. The song encompasses the essence of '90s alt rock, which was a hugely impactful and influential time for our band. We're proud of the song and very happy to have Rivers be a part of it."

In addition to the new single, Billy Talent have completed recording and announced a release date for their forthcoming album CRISIS OF FAITH. The 10-track LP was produced entirely by the band's guitarist and main songwriter, Juno-nominated producer Ian D'Sa, in the band's Toronto studio. It was mixed by the legendary Chris Lord-Alge.

The album will drop on January 21, 2022.

Those who pre-order CRISIS OF FAITH will have the opportunity to win a one-of-a-kind Player Series Fender Stratocaster modeled after D'Sa's own Strat. Click here for all the details.

In addition to being available digitally, on CD, and on vinyl LP, a special limited-edition Deluxe Vinyl Package of the new album is available for pre-order. A multi-channel Dolby Atmos mix of the album will also be available digitally.

Billy Talent are one of Canada's most successful bands. They have sold nearly one million albums in Canada alone and nearly 3 million albums internationally. They have won 7 Juno Awards and have been nominated 23 times, including three nods for their most recent studio album Afraid of Heights (for Group of the Year, Rock Album of the Year, and Ian D'Sa for Producer of the Year). They have also been nominated for 32 MMVA Awards — taking home the prize 10 times. In 2018, the group was honored with the Legends of Live Special Achievement Award, presented by Canadian Music Week. To celebrate the announcement, Chelsea teams up with friend and fellow “Stay Next To Me” tour mate Quinn XCII on her new single, “Calling All Angels,” out today—listen HERE.

Chelsea Cutler wrote “Calling All Angels” with Quinn XCII, ayokay, and Hazey Eyes during a writing trip to Newport, RI, where much of the album was written and recorded. The song rides a dreamy bass line and steady cymbals towards a fingersnap-laden hook. Chelsea says, “My mom used to always say, ‘Calling All Angels’ to me as a kid. It always made me think of protection. The song is a well wish to other people.” Quinn XCII chimes in, saying, “Chelsea and I have been collaborating on each other’s projects for years, and I’m always so honored to be a part of her journey. Every time we make a song together, it feels particularly special because it is always effortless and something we feel our fans will always love. I can’t wait to play this together every night on tour the next few weeks.”

“Calling All Angels” follows Chelsea’s recently released singles, “You Can Have It” and “Walking Away,” the latter of which was lovingly dubbed the “Jeep Song” by her fans after she teased a short snippet of the track on Instagram months before it was released. Together, the songs have amassed nearly 8 million combined streams to date and have been praised by the likes of Entertainment Tonight, UPROXX, Consequence, HYPEBAE, Ones To Watch, and more.

As Chelsea gears up to release When I Close My Eyes, she is currently on her co-headline “Stay Next To Me Tour” with Quinn XCII, which includes two upcoming sold out shows at New York’s iconic Radio City Music Hall on September 17th and 18th. Tickets are on sale now at https://www.chelseacutler.com/.

The Plot In You Drop "Paradigm" Video
unnamed-39.jpg

Ohio quartet The Plot In You — Landon Tewers [vocals], Josh Childress [guitar], Ethan Yoder [bass], and Michael Cooper [drums] —have shared the video for "Paradigm."

The song is erected on a thunderous riff, with nuanced vocals and other unexpected sonic flourishes throughout, like an utterly chaotic and powerful breakdown.

"I wrote 'Paradigm' for another band in 2020," Tewers reveals. "I kept coming back to it with my own vocal ideas and ultimately decided to keep it for myself. 'Paradigm' is about the ridiculousness of worshipping artists and content creators — most of which don't care about impact or message they bring."

The track appears on the band's forthcoming fifth album Swan Song, out September 17 via Fearless Records. Pre-order the album, which follows 2018's excellent Dispose, here.

After racking up over 100 million streams and receiving praise from Billboard, Rock Sound, Alternative Press, and more, The Plot In You have crafted an album that addresses the end of various things and situations in life. It was a way for the members to expunge some negative things from their lives through their art. With this record, the band stared down years of negativity, soured friendships, disappointment, and mistakes and catalyzed those experiences into hammering distortion, towering melodies, epic production, and unapologetically cathartic lyrics. It's an album that their fans and beyond will intimately and instantly relate to.

The Plot In You will return to the road with Silverstein and Can't Swim this fall. All dates are below.

We Came As Romans Share "Black Hole" Video
unnamed-36.jpg

oshua Moore [guitar], Dave Stephens [vocals], Lou Cotton [guitar], Andy Glass [bass], and David Puckett [drums] — have shared the video for their brand new single "Black Hole," featuring Beartooth's Caleb Shomo.

"'Black Hole' was the very last song that we wrote for the record," the band says. "We had this idea of what we wanted it to sound like, and we wrote a bunch of music for it throughout our time in L.A. But we were never really satisfied with what we created. With only a week left in the studio, we had finally created something that we were all stoked about — and it was time to put a message to the song."

Stephens continues, "The lyrics to 'Black Hole' are about dealing with the anxiety that you feel going through life. For me, at the time, [it was] the anxiety I was feeling in dealing with loss and the grieving process. But we wanted to leave the song open-ended enough for our fans to relate to, with anything they were going through. That anxiety is sometimes so crushing and so heavy, and you have to deal with the weight of it, the gravity of the situations you're in. And sometimes, it just feels like an endless cycle."

He finishes, "When the song was complete, we sent it over to a long time friend of ours — Caleb Shomo. We've been playing shows together for well over 10 years now, and we're so happy we've finally had a chance to collaborate on a song together. Caleb is an amazing vocalist and the song wouldn't be the same without his contribution!"

We Came As Romans recently shared the video "Darkbloom."

In other WCAR news, the band rebooted its anniversary tour celebrating the landmark, 2009-released album To Plant A Seed. The tour was originally scheduled for Spring 2020, but it was tabled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To Plant A Seed was a definitive sonic statement for We Came As Romans and remains a fan favorite through this day. It's only fitting that the band commemorate the release with a tour.

The tour kicks off on September 29 in Philadelphia and runs through November 7 in the band's native Michigan. Support will come from The Devil Wears Prada, Dayseeker, and Hollow Front. All dates are below. Get tickets here.

ZILLAKAMI BACK WITH NEW SINGLE AND VIDEO “NOT WORTH IT”
unnamed-35.jpg

Today, ZillaKami of City Morgue shares a rock-driven new single and video entitled “Not Worth It” via Hikari Ultra/Republic Records.

Listen to “Not Worth It:” HERE

The guitar-laden track shows another side of the dynamic New York disruptor. Distortion wraps around a glitchy beat as he flexes his falsetto between moments of incisive introspective reflection, “Everybody loves me, but I don’t deserve it.As always, his words cut deep. While in the music video, ZillaKami’s rock essence shines in a crew of moshers swarming a skate park.

It arrives on the heels of “FROSTY” which attracted critical acclaim. Right out of the gate, XXLnamed it among “The 13 Best New Songs This Week, while HotNewHipHop christened him “one of the earliest and most creative members of the emo-rap wave. It has gathered 3.2 million Spotify streams and counting and 2.1 million views on the haunting music video.
Stay tuned for more soon!

Dropped earlier this summer, “BADASS” [feat. Lil Uzi Vert] generated north of 10 million streams and 2 million YouTube views on the static audio. This release garnered widespread tastemaker praise as well. Complex attested the track “channels the best of Zillakami’s distinctively hard-hitting approach to rap,” and The FADER praised it as “the perfect blend of ZillaKami's dark sound and Uzi Vert's playful delivery.” HotNewHipHop highlighted the “earworm of a hook” and “two electrifying verses” courtesy of ZillaKami."

Prior, “CHAINS” posted up 2.6 million Spotify streams and 2.9 million views on the explosive music video. HotNewHipHop fittingly described it as “a hard-hitting, head-banging anthem.”

ZillaKami might be rap and rock’s worst nightmare come true in the best way. He defiantly devours guitar-backed beats without one fuck given. As one-half of City Morgue with partner-in-grime SosMula, he has toppled charts, sold out shows, and scared the shit out of anybody with a conscience. In 2019, the group’s second full-length offering, CITY MORGUE VOL. 2: AS GOOD AS DEAD, held multiple charts hostage, seizing the #1 spot on the Billboard Top Rock Albums Chart and #1 on the Apple Music Rock Albums Chart. The legendary Mike Dean jumped aboard as Executive Producer of the Deluxe Edition. Meanwhile, the 2020 follow-up TOXIC BOOGALOO EP scored #96 on the Billboard Top 200, #9 on the Billboard Top Album Sales Chart, #6 on the Billboard Alternative Albums Chart, #13 on the Billboard Top Rock Albums Chart, and #4 on the Nielsen Music Digital Albums Chart. Not to mention, they’ve pulled in 100 million-plus streams and 100 million-plus views to date. ZillaKami is a rare talent who is seamlessly rising to the ranks of major artists such as Trippie Redd and Ski Mask The Slump God, with whom he recently collaborated. He’s a shape-shifting sonic force with an unbreakable grip on rap and rock that’s ready to bleed like never before on his 2021 solo debut.
