unnamed-38.jpg

A little over two weeks ahead of the release of their sixth album, LIFEFORMS, Angels & Airwaves release a new song and video titled “Spellbound.” The video, directed by front man Tom DeLonge, uses a laser programming technique called laser banding to create a first-of-its-kind laser-walled cube that the band performs inside of. The song is their fourth new track this year and joins the six album songs, which to date have amassed over 48.6 million streams. LIFEFORMS will arrive on September 24 as the band’s first full length album in seven years, and will be quickly followed by a US tour, beginning on September 29 in Riverside, CA.

We Came As Romans Share "Black Hole" Video
unnamed-36.jpg

oshua Moore [guitar], Dave Stephens [vocals], Lou Cotton [guitar], Andy Glass [bass], and David Puckett [drums] — have shared the video for their brand new single "Black Hole," featuring Beartooth's Caleb Shomo.

"'Black Hole' was the very last song that we wrote for the record," the band says. "We had this idea of what we wanted it to sound like, and we wrote a bunch of music for it throughout our time in L.A. But we were never really satisfied with what we created. With only a week left in the studio, we had finally created something that we were all stoked about — and it was time to put a message to the song."

Stephens continues, "The lyrics to 'Black Hole' are about dealing with the anxiety that you feel going through life. For me, at the time, [it was] the anxiety I was feeling in dealing with loss and the grieving process. But we wanted to leave the song open-ended enough for our fans to relate to, with anything they were going through. That anxiety is sometimes so crushing and so heavy, and you have to deal with the weight of it, the gravity of the situations you're in. And sometimes, it just feels like an endless cycle."

He finishes, "When the song was complete, we sent it over to a long time friend of ours — Caleb Shomo. We've been playing shows together for well over 10 years now, and we're so happy we've finally had a chance to collaborate on a song together. Caleb is an amazing vocalist and the song wouldn't be the same without his contribution!"

We Came As Romans recently shared the video "Darkbloom."

In other WCAR news, the band rebooted its anniversary tour celebrating the landmark, 2009-released album To Plant A Seed. The tour was originally scheduled for Spring 2020, but it was tabled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To Plant A Seed was a definitive sonic statement for We Came As Romans and remains a fan favorite through this day. It's only fitting that the band commemorate the release with a tour.

The tour kicks off on September 29 in Philadelphia and runs through November 7 in the band's native Michigan. Support will come from The Devil Wears Prada, Dayseeker, and Hollow Front. All dates are below. Get tickets here.

ZILLAKAMI BACK WITH NEW SINGLE AND VIDEO “NOT WORTH IT”
unnamed-35.jpg

Today, ZillaKami of City Morgue shares a rock-driven new single and video entitled “Not Worth It” via Hikari Ultra/Republic Records.

Listen to “Not Worth It:” HERE

The guitar-laden track shows another side of the dynamic New York disruptor. Distortion wraps around a glitchy beat as he flexes his falsetto between moments of incisive introspective reflection, “Everybody loves me, but I don’t deserve it.As always, his words cut deep. While in the music video, ZillaKami’s rock essence shines in a crew of moshers swarming a skate park.

It arrives on the heels of “FROSTY” which attracted critical acclaim. Right out of the gate, XXLnamed it among “The 13 Best New Songs This Week, while HotNewHipHop christened him “one of the earliest and most creative members of the emo-rap wave. It has gathered 3.2 million Spotify streams and counting and 2.1 million views on the haunting music video.
Stay tuned for more soon!

Dropped earlier this summer, “BADASS” [feat. Lil Uzi Vert] generated north of 10 million streams and 2 million YouTube views on the static audio. This release garnered widespread tastemaker praise as well. Complex attested the track “channels the best of Zillakami’s distinctively hard-hitting approach to rap,” and The FADER praised it as “the perfect blend of ZillaKami's dark sound and Uzi Vert's playful delivery.” HotNewHipHop highlighted the “earworm of a hook” and “two electrifying verses” courtesy of ZillaKami."

Prior, “CHAINS” posted up 2.6 million Spotify streams and 2.9 million views on the explosive music video. HotNewHipHop fittingly described it as “a hard-hitting, head-banging anthem.”

ZillaKami might be rap and rock’s worst nightmare come true in the best way. He defiantly devours guitar-backed beats without one fuck given. As one-half of City Morgue with partner-in-grime SosMula, he has toppled charts, sold out shows, and scared the shit out of anybody with a conscience. In 2019, the group’s second full-length offering, CITY MORGUE VOL. 2: AS GOOD AS DEAD, held multiple charts hostage, seizing the #1 spot on the Billboard Top Rock Albums Chart and #1 on the Apple Music Rock Albums Chart. The legendary Mike Dean jumped aboard as Executive Producer of the Deluxe Edition. Meanwhile, the 2020 follow-up TOXIC BOOGALOO EP scored #96 on the Billboard Top 200, #9 on the Billboard Top Album Sales Chart, #6 on the Billboard Alternative Albums Chart, #13 on the Billboard Top Rock Albums Chart, and #4 on the Nielsen Music Digital Albums Chart. Not to mention, they’ve pulled in 100 million-plus streams and 100 million-plus views to date. ZillaKami is a rare talent who is seamlessly rising to the ranks of major artists such as Trippie Redd and Ski Mask The Slump God, with whom he recently collaborated. He’s a shape-shifting sonic force with an unbreakable grip on rap and rock that’s ready to bleed like never before on his 2021 solo debut.

Bring ABBA to Riot Fest - Sign The Petition
unnamed-12.png

Mamma Mia, it’s really happening. After 40 years, ABBA is back together. A new record is due out this November, and a U.K. concert is already planned for next May.

So… we’re officially calling first dibs. ABBA, take a chance on us and play Riot Fest 2022.

This is not a joke. We will do whatever it takes to make this a reality—and knowing me, knowing you, there is nothing we can’t do. If we succeed, we promise that we will make this thing the greatest concert in the history of live music. Sign our petition now and help us book the greatest band in existence.

Look, we’ve got money (money, money). And sure, Riot Mike is sitting upstairs furiously making phone calls right now, while ABBA Gold blasts through the office (also not a joke). But we need your help to get some Super Troupers on this and make everyone’s collective dreams come true. Sign the petition, tell your friends, and post everywhere you can that you want #ABBAforRiotFest.
